Essential Oil Frankincense is used extensively in incense and fine perfumery for thousands of years, frankincense is characterized by a sweet, balsamic aroma.
Essential oils are the highly concentrated, volatile, aromatic essences of plants. Scientists agree that essential oils may perform more than one function in living plants. In some cases they seem to be a part of the plant’s immune system.
In other cases, they may simply be end-products of metabolism.
Essential oils contain hundreds of organic constituents, including hormones, vitamins and other natural elements that work on many levels.
They are 75 to 100 times more concentrated than the oils in dried herbs.
Aromatherapy practitioners need to use the highest quality pure essential oils. Important criteria to consider when selecting essential oil include the following: 100% pure and natural, country of origin, growing season, extraction method (e.g., distillation, expression), plant part used and the reputation of the company providing the oils.
What Is Frankincense Essential Oil Used For?
Frankincense oil is used by either inhaling the oil or absorbing it through the skin, usually mixed with a carrier oil, such as an unscented lotion or jojoba oil. It’s believed that the oil transmits messages to the limb system of the brain, which is known to influence the nervous system. A little bit of oil goes a long way; it should not be ingested in large quantities as it can be toxic.
If you’re purchasing essential oils, avoid oils that say “fragrance oil” or “perfume oil” as these can be synthetic and don’t provide the desired health benefits. Instead, look for oils that say “pure essential oil” or “100% essential oil”

Gems of Nature
Pure essential oils, like precious jewelry or fine wine, are gems of nature — the quintessential life force of aromatic plants, sometimes called the “soul” of the plant. People who truly appreciate the qualities of pure essential oils consider each drop a precious jewel to be savored, enjoyed and protected.Essential oils absorb into the fluid surrounding the cells beneath the skin’s surface for a variety of effects including deep cleansing, nourishing, rejuvenating and balancing. Essential oils also diffuse into the air to provide olfactory benefits.
Essential Oil Safety
Essential oils are very concentrated. Their safe use requires they be treated with care and respect. The user should be knowledgeable about their properties and actions before any use. Most personal applications require drops rather than ounces.
During our hydrodistillation process, the frankincense is boiled and droplets of oil, as well as the floral waters from the resin, are collected. This method is one of the earliest methods of distillation, and only glass is used in the process.
It’s a very efficient and discerning way to process oils and floral waters. Our products include pure 100% Frankincense oil as well as Frankincense hydrosols, which have floral waters from the resin and oil suspended with one another.
We carry only Frankincense Sacra Essential Oils and its related by-products, however, the characteristic of Frankincense families vary as far as quality is the concern, effectiveness depends on the country origin. In general, users basically remain almost as same level.
